From Winnipeg, Manitoba, this Ukrainian-Canadian Zabava Band has become one of the province’s most popular Ukrainian party band with their upbeat polkas, harmonized waltzes, country favourites, classic rock hits, and everything in between. This high energy group creates the perfect party atmosphere that is sure to keep everyone dancing.

Founded out of baba's basement by Will Kaye (fiddle) and Matthew Prychun (drums) in 1999, SLOOHAI was established in 2001 when Gord Chubey (bass) joined. Members currently are: Will Kaye (fiddle, vocals), Matthew Prychun (drums, vocals), Gord Chubey (bass, vocals), Terry Kraynyk (accordion, keyboard, vocals), Greg Udod (piano, vocals), Joel Rivard (guitar, vocals). Their Ukrainian roots and passion have taken them across North America playing at weddings, festivals, casinos, special events, and Malankas.

The group has released three studio albums, available online or by CD. **Spoiler alert**
Sloohai is preparing a fourth album, for their 25th anniversary in 2026.
