Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Slavko Nohas has been an active member of the Ukrainian-Canadian community for many years. He has been entertaining audiences for over four decades as the leader of the Ukrainian folk band Trembita.
Throughout his life, Slavko has been dedicated to promoting Ukrainian culture, tradition and music. He has performed and MC’d  at countless festivals and events, both locally and nationally. Actively involved in the Ukrainian-Canadian community, Slavko volunteers his time and talents to various organizations.
Slavko is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Vegreville Pysanka Festival as master of ceremonies. He hopes to continue to promote and preserve Ukrainian culture, language and traditions for many years to come.
